Robotics Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

This position supports and contributes to the company's goals of zero injuries. Under minimal supervision, the individual performs daily maintenance and programming support to all robotic systems. They seek to identify process and performance improvement opportunities of robotic systems, looking for ways to introduce new robot systems that reduce cost and/or improve quality. The role also involves assisting in the development of tooling and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to established Safety initiatives, policies, and procedures
• Research and recommend various types of equipment for purchase in manufacturing
• Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components
• Advanced troubleshooting of robotic systems
• Maintain service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems
• Maintain operational records or records systems
• Advanced Programming of robotic systems with the ability to train and mentor
• Prepare procedural documents
• Assemble equipment or components
• Assist engineers in the design, configuration, or application of robotic systems
• Develop tooling and fixtures for robotic systems
• Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products

Requirements:

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization
• Advanced computer skills with regards to robotic welding and automation
• Computer software, data entry, data retrieval, and data analysis skills required
• Ability to read blueprints
• Problem-solving and advanced troubleshooting skills required
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as required

Education and Experience:

A technical degree in Robotic or Industrial Technology, or a related technical field is preferred. Minimum five to ten years' experience operating and programming welding robotic systems. Successfully meets and exceeds the requirements of Robotic Technician II.
