Bus Driver/Maintenance Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Bus Driver/Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating our buses and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities- Transport children to and from Head Start centers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on our buses, including inspections and repairs.
- Collaborate with the Bus Monitor to teach children safe riding practices and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and child transportation.
- Possess a valid CDL with an "S" endorsement.
- Have prior experience with safely transporting children.
- Be able to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, 20 times a day if needed.
- Pass a physical examination and background checks.
- Basic computer literacy in email usage, word processing, and internet navigation.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation requirements.
- Ability to problem solve and provide leadership in emergency situations.
