Role Overview

In this position, you will oversee all aspects of receiving operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of all inbound and outbound products.

Key Relationships

Engage with all vendors, customers, and team members associated with our logistics operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Lead and guide all receiving team members, providing support and direction to others working within your area of responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor team members.
  • Ensure proper product temperatures are monitored, validated, maintained, and documented in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) from the moment of arrival until the product is stored, safeguarding product quality.
  • Oversee the safe and proper unloading of trucks.
  • Ensure all pallets are correctly tagged and recorded.
  • Maintain accurate product locations and ensure protection protocols are followed by all employees.
  • Help manage the OSHA Incident Rate (OIR) and Lost Time Incident Rate (LTI) by monitoring sanitation and safe working conditions, enforcing safety policies, conducting pre-shift meetings, and ensuring proper use of material handling equipment.
  • Conduct daily audits for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Country of Origin Labeling (COOL), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HAACP), and other food safety regulations.
  • Complete and maintain necessary documentation, including error and exception walk-through templates, pre-shift assignments, and equipment condition checklists.
  • Ensure the Emergency Contact list for team members is current and accessible.
  • Understand and communicate Emergency Procedures, participating in regular updates.
  • Verify team members' time and attendance daily to ensure accurate time clock entries.
  • Coordinate and submit all team member forms for Time Adjustments, PTO requests, etc., to HR in a timely manner for processing.
  • Account for any inventory discrepancies or product shrinkage.
  • Review daily and weekly performance reports to maintain acceptable levels of operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork, including logs, driver bills, and operational documents, is accurately completed.

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, we provide a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we consider a variety of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications. The starting pay range for this position is $55,000.00.
