Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Selector to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a Selector, you will be responsible for properly selecting and accurately building pallets of product for our clubs. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select and accurately build pallets of product to meet customer specifications
  • Verify product against pick tickets and case labels
  • Maintain required productivity levels and accuracy standards
  • Check condition of pallets and exchange as necessary
  • Promptly report damage and inventory discrepancies to supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock and facility areas
  • Assist in ensuring pallets are wrapped and stacked for safe transport to storage
  • Safely operate Material Handling Equipment after training
  • Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards
  • Ensure regular and consistent attendance
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred
  • Ability to handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic math skills to ensure proper height and counts
  • Ability to take directions using the headset selection system
  • Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet customer needs
Environmental Job Conditions:
  • Independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment
  • Grasp, reach, push or pull on a frequent basis
  • Build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 pounds
  • Endurance for continuous, fast-paced work
  • Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC
  • Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE
  • Products may contain food allergens
Compensation:

The pay range for this position starts at $22.00 per hour. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
