Job Title: Healthcare Specialist

As a Healthcare Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to civilians and Soldiers. Your duties will include administering emergency medical treatment, assisting with outpatient and inpatient care, and managing medical readiness, supplies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer emergency medical treatment to battlefield casualties
  • Assist with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment
  • Manage Soldiers' medical readiness, medical supplies, and equipment
Requirements:
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career with civilian hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or rehabilitation centers. You may also consider a career as an emergency medical technician, medical assistant, or physician's assistant.
