We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist to support our Children's House classroom at Guidepost Montessori in Newton, MA. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who is passionate about giving children the tools they need to succeed.

About the Role

As an Early Childhood Education Specialist, you will work closely with a mixed-age class of preschool age children in a Montessori environment. You will prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters concentration, independence, and deep learning.

You will be responsible for observing each child closely to understand and meet their physical, intellectual, and emotional needs. You will provide individual and small-group lessons to support each child's development in practical skills, literacy, math, and so much more.

Cultivating independence and self-confidence by helping children 'do it all by themselves' is key to this role. You will also form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of respect.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare a supportive and engaging environment that encourages children to explore and learn
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to individual children's needs
  • Cultivate strong relationships with parents through regular communication and collaboration
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • ECC certificate
  • Pursuing certified Montessori training or previously obtained a Montessori diploma for 3-6
  • Experience working with children ages 3-6 in a group setting
  • Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori
