Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Facilities Management to join our team at AlerisLife. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of facility operations across our owned and managed properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities and Maintenance: Ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and team members by maintaining life safety systems, complying with regulations, and implementing training programs.
  • Maintenance and Vendor Relations: Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure, and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Systems, Standards, and Tracking: Implement standards for room turn and room readiness, establish routines for the regional maintenance team, and create a dashboard for life safety and critical facilities repairs.
  • Talent Development and Leadership: Develop and implement training programs for facilities team members, and define hiring criteria and expectations for in-house work versus vendor work.
  • Capital Projects and Renovations: Oversee capital projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and execution, and manage capital project budgets and financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in facilities management, including at least 5-7 years in a leadership role managing large teams and complex projects.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects and complex facility operations, including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Safety and Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local, state, and federal building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
