As a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center, Sun River Health serves various communities across multiple counties.

We are currently in search of a full-time Provider Credentialing Support Specialist. This role operates in a hybrid model, with in-office attendance required on designated days. The remote work schedule will be determined by management and may be subject to adjustments. This position entails a commitment of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Provider Credentialing Support Specialist plays a crucial role in aiding the maintenance of Provider Credentialing files and supporting the Director of Credentialing with daily departmental tasks as needed.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all Provider Files and associated Excel Spreadsheets consistently.
  • Input provider data into IntelliCred Software.
  • Serve as the primary source for Other Licensed or Certified Practitioners (OLCPs) and Other Clinical Staff.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new providers' credentialing.
  • Oversee the recredentialing process for current providers.
  • Coordinate with Credentials Verification Organizations to ensure the completion of credentialing and recredentialing.
  • Conduct data entry, perform Provider Peer Audits, and maintain reports for each provider file, including an Excel spreadsheet of audits received, and provide copies to the Chief Medical Officer upon request.
  • Assist in maintaining calculations necessary for annual provider performance evaluations and report data to the financial analyst for the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Process provider reimbursements, log them into a spreadsheet, and secure approval from the appropriate supervisor.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned or requested, adhering to organizational systems and job-specific standards.
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with providers.
  • Update and maintain the delegated credentialing spreadsheet.
  • Perform all clerical tasks related to Credentialing Department Operations, including scheduling meetings, filing, and documenting minutes.

Minimum Education Requirement:
High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education Requirement:
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Related Work Experience:
2-4 years

Essential Skills & Knowledge:
Proficiency in English communication (both oral and written)
