Peer Advocate Specialist

Sun River Health is a leading provider of comprehensive primary and preventive health care services, serving communities in New York City and surrounding areas. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Advocate Specialist to join our team at our Peekskill Main Street site.

• Provide peer support services to patients based on their clinical needs and treatment plans.
• Assist patients in articulating their recovery goals and developing personalized wellness and recovery plans.
• Connect patients and family members to community resources and services.
• Co-facilitate family network meetings and provide education on recovery and wellness strategies.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to monitor recovery and treatment outcomes.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Recovery Peer Advocate Certification (CRPA) or Certified Recovery Peer Advocate Training (CRPA-P) or willingness to obtain during employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients and staff.
