Job Overview:

The Deck Officer at McDermott International is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the vessel in a clean and sanitary condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of Able Body Seamen and Ordinary Seamen to ensure efficient and effective vessel maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards for vessel maintenance and operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize vessel performance.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Mate to ensure seamless vessel operations and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise and coordinate the work of deck crew members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards for vessel maintenance and operations.
