Job Summary

Oceaneering is a global leader in engineered services and products for the offshore energy industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Vessel Superintendent to direct activities related to the construction of subsea oil and gas infrastructure, dams, pipelines, and other construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with clients, marine personnel, and Oceaneering divisions to orchestrate project execution.
  • Study specifications to plan and coordinate installation or maintenance activities.
  • Assist project managers in developing procedures and tooling for installations or maintenance projects.
  • Inform Operations Manager of vessel and dock area conditions.
  • Serve as principal HSE agent on vessel for OPG activities.
  • Direct and supervise riggers and third-party laborers.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to resolve work procedures and coordinate project phases.
  • Ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and project schedules.
  • Prepare or review reports on progress, materials, and costs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years' experience in deepwater installations.
  • Offshore survival and medical certifications.
  • Valid passport and MMC.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions
  • This position is considered offshore work, characterized by working outdoors and indoors, day and night, with potential exposure to open fire, flames, sparks, and airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
  • Constant exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense glare.
Physical Activity/Requirements
  • This position is considered heavy work, requiring occasional lifting, working in confined spaces, and wearing personal protective equipment.
