The Rehabilitation Technician plays a vital role in supporting clients with their personal care and development needs.

Safety and Well-being

  • Ensures the safety and well-being of clients at all times, including regular checks and crisis prevention.
  • Supports clients in building trust and empathy through consistent and meaningful communication.

Relationship Building

  • Fosters collaborative relationships with clients, the community, and other professionals through effective communication and partnership.
  • Helps clients identify and participate in social and leisure activities, such as transportation, concerts, and in-house events.

Activities and Daily Living

  • Assists clients in developing problem-solving skills, communication, and independence.
  • Supports clients with Activities of Daily Living, including cooking, dressing, bathing, and restroom assistance.
  • Aids clients with bowel and bladder programs, feeding, wound care, and transfers.

Health and Wellness

  • Monitors clients' vitals and medical conditions, promoting positive behavior and health.
  • Attends medical appointments and ensures accurate information is relayed between medical providers and the care team.

Community Integration

  • Connects clients with community opportunities to develop relationships and achieve employment, educational, and volunteer goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid.
  • Commitment to scheduled shifts and performance expectations.
  • Basic computer skills.
