Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician III to join our team at Hope Network Rehabilitation Services. As a key member of our residential shift leadership team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Rehabilitation Technician III, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading residential shift teams and providing guidance and oversight to Rehab. Tech I and II staff
  • Coaching and mentoring staff to ensure effective therapeutic relationships with patients and their support networks
  • Monitoring and providing assistance with personal care, protection, and supervision as needed
  • Assisting with documentation and special projects as assigned by program managers
  • Specializing in specific healthcare needs as assigned by program managers
  • Ensuring safety and crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution
  • Establishing collaborative relationships built on trust and empathy through consistent and meaningful communication
  • Fostering a spirit of partnership with clients, the community, and other professionals
  • Helping build effective skills for problem-solving, communication, and independence
  • Assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living, including but not limited to: getting to and from places, cooking, dressing and undressing, bathing and showering, combing hair, trimming nails, restroom assistance
  • Aiding clients with bowel and bladder programs, feeding (G-tubes), wound care, and transfers
  • Monitoring vitals for any medical conditions or illnesses
  • Promoting positive behavior
  • Attending medical appointments and ensuring accurate information is relayed between medical providers and care teams
  • Understanding, reading, and assisting in the implementation of medical, behavioral, and/or clinical team care plans and providing accurate, timely, and descriptive documentation of such
  • Overseeing client medication needs
  • Connecting clients with opportunities in their community to develop relationships with others
  • Supporting employment, educational, and volunteer interests and goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certification as a CNA or a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or institution of higher learning (preferred) or High School Diploma or G.E.D with three years of experience, or one year as an HNNR Rehab. Tech. and have completed all HNNR Core and Advanced Medical Rehab Tech Skills requirements
  • One year experience as a Hope Network Rehabilitation Technician or two years of experience in a human service agency
  • Work experience in a licensed residential setting preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
  • Commitment to scheduled shifts, assigned duties, and performance expectations
  • Basic computer skills
