The Banquet Captain is a key member of the Hotel Resource team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all banquet and catering events. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and ensure their satisfaction with event services.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure that all meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained.
  • Assist in maintaining the inventory of the banquet department, including budgeting, food costs, and coding invoices.
  • Train new hires on banquet standards of service and set-ups.

Requirements:

  • 3 years' minimum experience in a banquet or event role.
  • Previous experience in a supervisor position is a plus.
  • Experience working at a hotel establishment is highly desired.
  • Ability to maintain service standards and deliver on quality of service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
