The Strategic Finance Analyst acts as a vital business consultant and intermediary between operational activities and financial management by leveraging financial expertise to conduct forecasts and evaluations of outcomes that align with the overarching objectives of Textron Aviation.
Moreover, the Strategic Finance Analyst improves the organization's comprehension of operational performance metrics and financial scenario assessments, as well as the repercussions of managerial decisions on financial outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engage in forecasting, periodic business reporting, variance assessments, and month-end closing procedures for the supported divisions.
Generate weekly cash flow projections and monitor actual cash inflows.
Collaborate across various departments within the organization and facilitate dialogue among finance functions to ensure precise and forward-looking financial data is disseminated throughout the company.
Grasp essential operational metrics and performance indicators, measuring results against set benchmarks.Accountable for the accuracy of forecasts and the implementation of corrective actions.
Contribute to the formulation of annual operational strategies, long-term plans, and capital budgeting processes.
May take part in monthly reviews of inventory levels, creating reports for Operations regarding inventory trends and turnover rates, and subject to monthly assessments of excess and obsolete inventory (E&O).
Execute special projects and on-demand financial reporting as necessary.Establish and nurture productive relationships with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
