Strategic Inventory Planner and Supply Chain Liaison

Job OverviewWe're looking for an experienced Strategic Inventory Planner and Supply Chain Liaison to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our Supply Chain process, you'll be responsible for supply planning, forecast review, data integrity, procurement, and inventory management of your category responsibility. Your goal will be to support our growth objectives while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including factory counterparts, sales, operations, merchandising, marketing, and finance.
Key Responsibilities- Supply Chain Management: Manage the supply planning, forecast review, data integrity, procurement, and inventory of all new and existing products. Your category of responsibility will encompass a wide range of product types for Le Creuset.
- Inventory Management: Create and propose category reorders to multiple factories, ensuring supply is covering demand and forecasted needs while adhering to KPI inventory goals.
- Forecast Review: Monitor all inbound inventory for your respective categories, tracking ETAs and working with factory and operations teams to ensure timely product delivery.
- Problem-Solving: Review forecasts vs. actual sales for forecast accuracy, considering changes and current trends to rectify any supply chain issues.
- Production Scheduling: Restructure production orders as requested from the factory based on MOQ or other logistic constraints, such as global consolidation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to analyze and provide feedback on monthly and seasonal demand forecasts, strategically managing inventory production to ensure availability for key programming.
- Communication: Manage production schedules to minimize delays from factory and communicate accurate timelines to Marketing, Sales, and Retail Merchandising.
- Inventory Analysis: Continually work to avoid out-of-stock situations that result in a loss of sales, collaborating with fellow members of the Planning team and DTC Inventory Planner to ensure accuracy of inventory allocation to 3rd party warehouses used for specific customer shipments.
- Reporting: Create, review, and utilize monthly reporting to propose actionable ways to improve business and the overall supply chain.
- Inventory Analysis Reports: Develop, generate, and distribute monthly inventory analysis reports, including out-of-stocks.
- Sales and Customer Calls: Participate in monthly/weekly sales and customer calls to review open issues, key items, forecasts, product launches, and end-of-life strategies.
- Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in retail planning or a related consumer goods category.
- Multichannel Environment: Demonstrated ability to operate in a multi-channel environment.
- Cross-Functional Expertise: Extensive cross-functional and collaborative expertise with a focus on influencing and alignment.
- Microsoft Office: Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills required).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with high motivation to dig into the details.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment with high attention to detail.
- Self-Starter: Self-starter attitude with a desire to improve processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Education: College degree preferred.
- Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
