Job OverviewHarbor Logistics is seeking a skilled Intermodal Load Planner to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in maximizing outbound shipments and leveraging your expertise to optimize loads for various destinations based on customer requirements.Key Responsibilities
  • Select cargo for outbound shipments considering STC destination, priority, and date received.
  • Compile Hazmat documentation for proper IMO approval documentation.
  • Perform weight, balance, and shoring calculations, and prepare load pick tickets.
  • Execute allocation and replenishment strategies from Distribution Centers (DC) to outbound destinations daily.
  • Provide visibility and communicate supply priorities and constraints.
  • Manage planning parameters and take ownership of replenishment execution into distribution organizations to achieve fulfillment and inventory metrics.
  • Coordinate shipments of customer orders exported from the United States directly to customers and third-party logistics operations.
  • Develop future forecast and replenishment plans for the assigned location.
  • Conduct Transportation Load Planning and oversee Export/Import Transportation Execution.
  • Measure carrier performance and analyze transportation costs.
  • Manage carrier relationships and hold Hazmat General Awareness Training Certificate.
  • Preferably possess experience in various commodities industries.
  • Balance multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ocean and drayage carrier operations.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships.
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated to drive continuous improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should excel in complex problem-solving and be an expert in time management. Strong natural leadership skills and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.
