Supply Chain Coordinator

As a key member of the CAMC Health System team, the Supply Chain Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical supply chain. This position is responsible for coordinating and delivering par level supplies to nursing units, maintaining accurate records, and interacting with hospital staff to coordinate supply receipt and invoice payment.
Responsibilities- Conduct daily inventory audits and interact with nursing unit staff to determine supply levels and product needs.
- Fills supply requisitions for requesting departments and packs items for shipment, ensuring proper charging of supplies to departments.
- Loads and unloads supplies from delivery vehicles and replenishes warehouse shelves with incoming stock.
- Inspects all products prior to receiving and authorizes receipt of incoming products.
- Enters all receipt information into the Material Information System and performs internet package tracing.
- Interacts with hospital and accounting staff to coordinate supply receipt and invoice payment, and performs research on receiving/invoice discrepancies.
- Prepares capital equipment reports for payment purposes and assigns capital asset property tags.
- Drives trucks for delivery of supplies and delivers supplies to all departments, keeping accurate records of receipt.
- Coordinates patient charging information with Data Management and operates warehouse equipment.
- Performs general housekeeping tasks and is responsible for handling all inventoried medical supplies, including some medications in secured locations on nursing units.
The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
Specifically, the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.
Competency Statement: Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.

- Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable.
