Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of all subassemblies and finished products to ensure they meet workmanship, dimensional, and visual standards as per the relevant drawings and specifications.
  • Adhere to established inspection protocols to determine the acceptance or rejection of inspected items, including both components and final products.
  • Interpret and comprehend necessary inspection documentation, including operational procedures, work instructions, travelers, and customer specifications.
  • Perform First Article Inspections as required.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect products with various tolerance dimensions and angles.
  • Execute additional inspection tasks as directed by the Production or Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Accurately prepare and maintain all required inspection documentation.
  • Input necessary information into the Inspection database with precision.
  • Generate rejection documentation and manage the processing of rejected items according to MRB guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate any issues or concerns to management at all levels.
  • Identify and report any questionable practices to the Production Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in production or inspection roles. IPC and/or JSTD Certification is highly advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD001 workmanship standards.
  • Strong understanding of the First Article Inspection process.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering orders, and relevant manuals/specifications.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools such as microscopes, magnifiers, calipers, and drop gauges.
  • Experience with checking fixtures, templates, magnets, scales, surface plates, and inspection stamps.
  • Familiarity with operating optical comparators.
  • Capability to use microscopes for extended periods.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities.
