Radiology Imaging Specialist

As a Radiology Tech PRN Rotating, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic examinations for patients of all ages using diagnostic imaging modalities. This includes assessing patient condition, operating imaging equipment, proficiency in PACS, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications. You will also be required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the departmental performance improvement program. Additionally, you will function as a clinical instructor for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program and take an active part in quality assurance (QA) managing. You will also be responsible for covering the PACS Administrator in their absence. Night and weekend call is required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following education, license/certifications, and experience:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology school with an associate degree or equivalent.
- Minimum one year as an accredited technologist in a hospital setting. Experience in Quality Assurance is preferred.
- Registered with ARRT, American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required. SCRQSA license is required.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
- Rotate through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements, and trauma.
- Assist practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures, and trauma.
