Key Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Design and deliver face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid training sessions for academic advisors, focusing on best practices in academic and career advising.
  • Needs Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct integrated training needs assessments and monitor the effectiveness of training programs, providing regular reports to the Office for Advising Excellence Director and Assistant Vice Provost for Academic & Career Advising.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Office for Advising Excellence Director, Program Manager, and Assistant Vice Provost for Academic & Career Advising to plan, assess, and evaluate center goals and objectives.
  • Training Materials and Resources: Create visually appealing training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources, to support the training programs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus three years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience to equal seven years.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated excellence in oral, written, and visual communication skills, knowledge of trends in academic and career advising, and experience in teaching face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid training sessions.
