About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Truist Inc. as a key member in developing and maintaining technical IT/cyber security capabilities.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the firm's information systems and applications, including all phases of the software development lifecycle and software stack. This includes threat modeling, static application security testing, software composition analysis, dynamic application security testing, and penetration testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical IT/cyber security capabilities
  • Design, plan, test, and implement cybersecurity technology projects
  • Participate in efforts related to designing, planning, enhancing, and testing all cybersecurity technologies used throughout the enterprise
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the use of new technologies or modifications to existing equipment and systems
  • Implement new information security technologies or integrate existing technologies
  • Provide technical support of information security technologies
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • In-depth knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies
  • Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects
Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that make a candidate more competitive include:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of identity and access management best practices, procedures, and software solutions
  • Understanding of Connector bundles, IAM Attestation, and SOD Implementation
  • Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix, scripting, LDAP, Oracle, MS SQL, and relational databases
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. As a full-time employee at Truist Inc., you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax-preferred savings accounts, and a 401(k) plan. You will also receive no less than 10 days of vacation and 10 sick days during your first year of employment, along with paid holidays.
