The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Uncommon Schools. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with general education teachers, school leaders, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.

You will be responsible for teaching modified, differentiated, and inclusive curriculum that emphasizes diversity and promotes academic achievement. You will also collaborate with colleagues to analyze trends in student work samples and assessments, ensuring compliance with IEPs.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working with diverse learners, preferably in an urban setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A passion for professional development and continuous improvement
