Job Summary

SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled Starlink Production Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing circuit boards, operating PCB assembly machines, and ensuring the quality of our avionics hardware.

Responsibilities
  • Operate PCB assembly machines to manufacture circuit boards, including SMT placement, reflow, paste printer, and optical inspection.
  • Component kitting and measurement.
  • Run thermal and functional testing of electronic hardware, including setup, instrumentation, test execution, and troubleshooting.
  • Support the development of prototype test capabilities for component development and life tests.
  • Support engineering to drive the root cause of production yield issues and improve delivered avionics hardware quality.
  • Build small electrical sub-assemblies.
  • Ensure production equipment is maintained and calibrated via scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Manage schedule priorities and independently execute work to meet company deliverables.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalency certificate.
  • 1+ years of hands-on work experience with electromechanical tools, assembly, or testing.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, controlled documentation, and processes.
  • Proficient use of a PC, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office suite, ERP, and related programs.
  • Experience with electrical wiring and soldering.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted.
  • Repetitive assembly operations, standing for long periods, and climbing up and down ladders may be required.
Compensation and Benefits

Starlink Production Technician/Level 1: $26.50/hour

Starlink Production Technician/Level 2: $31.00/hour

Starlink Production Technician/Level 3: $37.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks.

You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Non-exempt Washington employees are eligible for sick leave in accordance with Washington's Sick Leave policies.
