Key Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with the finance director on all financial matters and providing detailed analyses of business plans and initiatives.
  • Identifying benchmarks in financial performance, hospital throughput, cost per case, length of stay, and productivity metrics.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial presentations to review operational performance.
  • Supporting the finance director in business operations, including financial reporting, billing and reimbursement, informatics, and strategic business ventures.
  • Contributing to the development of financial strategic business plans.
  • Collaborating with revenue cycle staff to ensure optimal reimbursement and compliance with revenue cycle policies.
  • Establishing work plans and reviewing the activities of the reimbursement team.
  • Assisting in the outlook and annual budget cycle, including budget spreads, reconciliation, and capital budget responsibilities.
  • Providing support in treasury and research budget preparation.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • English proficiency required; additional languages preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is advantageous.

Experience:
Four to five years of relevant professional experience, including demonstrated leadership in managing people or processes. Extensive experience or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and exchange accurate information.
  • Capability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to manage physical records and operate a computer or other office equipment.
  • Ability to travel throughout the facility as needed and lift up to 25 lbs.

Compensation:
The anticipated pay range for this position is between $30.41 and $46.38 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as work history, experience, skill set, and education. This range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement options.
