About the Role

Helio Health is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at the Lincoln House Residential Program. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals seeking treatment for substance use and mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a caseload of patients and provide essential counseling services, including screening, intake, and orientation, assessment, evaluation, and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Participate in program, administrative, and clinical committees as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, and community while upholding confidentiality requirements.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a human service field with a minimum of CASAC-T required, or a Bachelor's Degree in a human service field with demonstrated steady progress towards QHP status (CASAC-T or enrolled in a MSW or Mental Health Counseling Masters or equivalent licensure-oriented program).
  • One year of counseling experience preferred.
  • Equivalent alternative combination of education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
  • Knowledge of addiction/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group process, and principles of counseling.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications.
