Job Title: On-Call Crisis Clinician

Family Service and Guidance Center Topeka is seeking a skilled and compassionate On-Call Crisis Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our crisis services team, you will provide critical support to children and youth in crisis, working closely with families and community partners to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to crisis calls and provide immediate support to children and youth in crisis, using evidence-based interventions and crisis management techniques.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and community agencies to develop and implement individualized crisis plans.
  • Provide in-person crisis sessions, hospitalizations, and other interventions as needed, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document all interactions and interventions in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to agency and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to enhance clinical skills and stay up-to-date on best practices in crisis intervention.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a recognized mental health discipline (Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology).
  • Valid license to practice as a clinician in the state of Kansas.
  • Successful completion of background investigations and other required clearances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children and youth in crisis, particularly in community-based settings.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based crisis interventions and trauma-informed care practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
