Key Responsibilities:
As a Construction Materials Specialist, your role will include:

  • Conducting field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
  • Engaging with project managers, engineering technicians, and client representatives to discuss project requirements and testing results.
  • Transporting material samples with appropriate documentation to the laboratory for further analysis.
  • Compiling, preparing, and submitting data and observations in both written and digital formats for daily reporting to the PEC Field Services Project Manager.
  • Maintaining and cleaning equipment, vehicles, and work areas, and assisting with the scheduling of technicians to project sites.
  • Adhering to rigorous safety standards and protocols.
  • Learning and assisting with various tasks under the supervision of senior technicians or professionals.
  • Documenting findings and results clearly and accurately, and communicating this information to the Project Manager.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met across all projects.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of relevant internal safety certifications.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory violation history.
  • Proficiency in using a laptop computer and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
