Regional Behavioral Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Behavioral Specialist to join our team at the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to our regional offices and service providers.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial, update, and annual clinical assessments of behavior support needs for assigned consumers.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to supervisors and field offices within specified timeframes.
- Participate in monthly supervisions with Regional Behavior Analysts.
- Complete clinical assessments of need for behavior support services by interviewing professionals and direct care staff, reviewing individual goals, progress documentation, and relevant behavioral data.
- Provide direction and technical assistance to DD service providers and teams on best practice standards for provision of behavior support services.
- Conduct pre-placement site visits and provide ongoing follow-up with providers related to implementation of clinical recommendations.
- Assist in monitoring delivery of positive behavior support services by developmental disability providers to ensure compliance with state policies and standards.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Two years of related experience or Bachelor's degree with four years of related experience.
- Certification or licensure may be required for certain positions.
