Job Title: Regional Coordinator

The Regional Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the availability and accessibility of mental health, developmental disability, and substance use disorder services within the region. This position requires strong leadership and collaboration skills to promote the mission and core values of DBHDD, as well as establish and maintain effective relationships with providers, advocates, key stakeholders, social service agencies, regional advisory council members, and other constituents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the identification, integration, and implementation of services and supports to ensure access and continuity of service delivery within the Region.
  • Develop, maintain, and support effective working relationships with stakeholders through effective, informative, and frequent interaction and communication.
  • Establish criteria to develop and measure performance, performance improvement activities, and outcomes of community providers and the regional office.
  • Provide assistance and implement processes to support quality and evidence-based practices.
  • Model fiscal stewardship through compliance with financial regulations and policies, budget development; review and approval of expenditures of state and Medicaid funds.
  • Promote customer satisfaction and assist region with resolving stakeholder grievances, complaints, and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Directly supervise the DD and BH Regional Services Administrators; confer regularly with staff on program objectives, barriers, issues impacting service delivery, statewide and inter-regional issues.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success in leading behavioral health or developmental disability or substance use disorder programs and services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent managerial, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
Education and Experience:
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Six (6) years' experience managing professional level staff or others in leadership positions.
  • Three (3) years' experience providing oversight of service coordination and service monitoring.
  • Knowledge and experience leading systems in a complex regulatory environment.
