Job Title: Residential Behavioral Health Technician

About the Role:

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a skilled Residential Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide therapeutic interventions to residents/patients and assist with maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of residents/patients while meeting their emotional, physical, recreational, and mental health needs.
  • Communicate effectively in a therapeutic manner, using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention skills to contribute to individual treatment plans.
  • Encourage and observe residents/patients in performing activities of daily living.
  • Document resident/patient behaviors and activities, reporting abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to clinical staff.

Requirements:

  • Active MHRT/C preferred.
  • Valid State of Maine driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • At least 1 year of Behavioral Health experience required; 3 years preferred.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven critical thinking skills.
