Server - Part Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dining Room Server to join our team at Vantage Point Retirement Living. As a Dining Room Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our residents and guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.

• Prepare dining set-ups, including setting tables and ensuring all necessary items are available.
• Take meal and drink orders, serve meals in a friendly and timely manner, and ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals.
• Maintain knowledge of all specials and general descriptions of all food items, and explain to residents and guests.
• Assure tables and surrounding areas are maintained in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance, and readiness.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
• Assist with orientation and training of new food servers and maintain a positive and supportive team environment.
• Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures to ensure a secure and healthy work environment.
• Set up and clean the Dining Room, maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards.
• Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
• Perform and complete opening and closing checklist criteria to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience.
• Assist in dining room and surrounding areas to ensure proper directional flow, organization, and supplies placement.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: Server Training
• Computer skills required: Order Processing Systems

• Previous experience in fine dining preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
