Job Description

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Contract Analyst to join the Contract Management Unit (CMU) within the Administration for Children's Services (ACS). As a Contract Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of foster care and residential services contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and manage comprehensive statistical and narrative reports to track and report outcomes for various audiences.
  • Analyze data results, identify patterns and trends, and effectively report findings to ACS and contract partners.
  • Perform qualitative analysis in the evaluation of services, including reviewing information from the Contract Management Unit to complete annual and ongoing reports.
  • Develop and implement internal Quality Assurance methods to identify key variables and inform future performance.
  • Monitor contract budget, analyze projected spending, and identify and escalate any budget risks.
  • Train Contract Managers and Contract Specialists in the proper use of tracking mechanisms and invoice templates.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business, or public administration, or a related field.
  • Two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research, or in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research, or program evaluation.
