Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the planning, direction, and coordination of the CI site plan, delivering targeted efficiencies, streamlining business processes, and improving value delivery to the customer.
This role will be responsible for developing and managing the site CI departmental budget, creating site CI tactical plans, and ensuring the site has a CI project pipeline with tracking process for implemented projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food manufacturing industries and trends, including available and innovative technologies, and be able to identify opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the site CI departmental budget
- Create site CI tactical plans
- Ensure the site has a CI project pipeline with tracking process for implemented projects
- Analysis of and identification of bottlenecks to increase the line speeds
- Use X-bar and R-bar charts to prioritize process improvements for processes not in control
- Facilitate teams in developing and executing lean plans to improve cycle time, inventory, process quality, and create capacity
- Manage nominated key strategies and projects within boundaries agreed between you and your manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university
- 5+ years related experience and/or training
- Preferred candidate holds a Yellow or Green Belt in Six Sigma, with a willingness to pursue a Black Belt certification
