Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Home Health and Hospice Scheduler to join our team at A Hug Away. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with WellSky/Kinnser software and a proven track record of efficiently scheduling patient visits, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the smooth operation of our home health and hospice services.

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling:

  • Schedule and coordinate patient visits for home health and hospice care, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and staff availability.
  • Manage and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in patient needs and staff availability, minimizing disruptions to care.

Coordination:

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and physicians, to ensure timely and accurate communication of schedule changes.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure patient care plans are followed, and that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

Software Management:

  • Utilize WellSky/Kinnser software for scheduling and documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to scheduling software, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless operations.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a scheduler in a home health or hospice setting, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency with WellSky/Kinnser software is required, with experience in medical billing and coding a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
