Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to take on the role of a Groundskeeper within our multifamily community. This position emphasizes minor preventive maintenance responsibilities, ensuring that our outdoor spaces and common areas are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting daily assessments of outdoor areas, including parking lots and recreational spaces, to identify cleanliness and safety concerns.
  • Maintaining a tidy environment by sweeping, raking, and removing debris from sidewalks and common areas.
  • Managing waste disposal by emptying trash receptacles and adhering to recycling protocols.
  • Cleaning and caring for outdoor furniture and fixtures to enhance their longevity and aesthetic appeal.
  • Assisting with landscaping duties such as planting, watering, and pruning to promote the health of our green spaces.
  • Safely operating and maintaining groundskeeping tools and equipment.
  • Reporting maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
  • Addressing resident inquiries regarding outdoor maintenance with professionalism.
  • Following company policies and local regulations related to outdoor upkeep.
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve shared objectives.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in groundskeeping or custodial work is preferred.
  • A basic understanding of grounds maintenance techniques and equipment.
  • The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • The capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
