Coating Production Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Coating Production Specialist to join our team at McWane. As a Coating Production Specialist, you will be responsible for applying coating to castings on a regular basis, operating hoist equipment for parts over 30 pounds, and conducting daily inspections of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members
- Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
- Operate hoist equipment for parts over 30 pounds
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment
- Apply coating to castings
- Inspect raw castings for defects before powder is applied
- Empties waste hoppers and returns powder to storage daily
- Notify supervisor of errors or equipment stoppage
- Clear equipment at end of operating run and review schedule to determine next assignment
- Record problems that occurred, such as downtime, and actions taken
- Meet or exceed hourly production rates every hour
- Maintain cleanliness of the production area
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma/GED preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
