We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Center Architect Lead to join our team in Seattle, WA; Herndon, VA; Austin, TX; or Columbus, OH. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial/industrial projects, 10+ years of design experience, and 3+ years of experience in data center design.

The Senior DC Project Development Manager will lead designs for Amazon's data centers in the Americas Region and impact other projects globally. As part of our highly creative and efficient design team, you will be responsible for architectural design requirements, technical guidance, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
  • Maintenance of Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for architectural elements.
  • Review and inform design RFPs.
  • Manage external design consultants through the design and construction process.
  • Coordinate with internal and external Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Cabling design engineers.
  • Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
  • Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position with a base pay range of $128,600/year - $212,800/year, depending on location. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. You will also receive equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
