Job Description:

We have a current opening for a Senior Power Applications Developer. This position is responsible for structuring the design and maintenance of Business Intelligence (BI) applications that support NSWG8 daily business operations. Collaborates closely with the Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) and Business Process Specialists to ensure the development of SOCOM enterprise BI applications enhances business decision making capabilities for the NSWG8 clamancy and are in line with current command process workflows.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as a lead developer and provide the Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) with recommendations and software development solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Dynamics etc.) to meet NSWG8 business process requirements.

2. Provide engineering solutions to NSWG8 business problems using the standard features and functions of enterprise software to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint as well as Power BI.

3. As required, develop and document customized capabilities as directed by the Government using SharePoint Designer and/or Power Apps.

4. Create and maintain developer user guides, or other related development products in support of application development initiatives.

5. Create processing workflows using SharePoint Designer and/or Power Automate supporting portal-based tools and applications to push information to people or organizations as per the defined process map.

6. Mentor and train KM Department personnel on the Microsoft Power Platform applications and features to support potential customer requirements.

7. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical issues with NSWG8 claimancy BI solutions.

8. Attends SOCOM and NSW Enterprise KM Developer meetings, telecons and working groups to learn and share enterprise BI best practices.

9. Works closely with the KMO and higher headquarters development teams to prepare for technology shifts ahead of new software deployment throughout the SOCOM enterprise.

10. Utilizes development environments to test new technologies viability to meet NSWG8 requirements.

Requirements:

1. Possess extensive knowledge of service-level KM policies, governance, and digital transformation initiatives.

2. Experience with these issues within SOF preferred.

3. Must possess working knowledge of SQL, SSRS, T-SQL, Excel Formulas and DAX.

4. Must possess eight (8) years' experience as an applications developer with SharePoint or other applications such as Microsoft Dynamics and the Microsoft Power Platform.

5. Ability to operate an information technology system with common/standard business software programs.

6. Ability to develop BI applications on SOCOM systems at the appropriate classification level as required.

7. Must possess at least one IT professional certification, such as A , Sec or Network .

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
