Job Overview:
As the Head Culinary Leader, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the daily production, preparation, and presentation of all food for our restaurant and room service adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, monitoring food and labor costs, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menu innovations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily production, preparation, and presentation of all food to guarantee a consistent, high-quality product that meets franchise standards.
- Manage kitchen personnel, focusing on attracting, retaining, and motivating staff while ensuring a safe work environment. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, and conducting performance reviews.
- Ensure the maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment, complying with all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs, preparing reports and schedules to meet budgetary goals while maintaining quality.
- Promote safety initiatives to minimize workplace accidents and related costs.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: A minimum of one to two years of experience in a similar role is required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and practices.
- Experience in managing personnel and addressing complex culinary challenges.
Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this position include lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items, with a significant focus on heavy production tasks. Candidates must be able to bend, stand for extended periods, and possess the mobility to navigate the kitchen effectively.
