In this role, you'll be the primary contributor to the day-to-day management of the policy governance program at Smartsheet. You'll work independently in a fast-paced environment, building relationships with policy stakeholders across the company to facilitate policy updates and approvals.

As a policy SME, you'll assist in developing policies, researching best practices, reviewing policies, and offering suggestions for improvement. You'll also own Smartsheet's data retention schedule and policy, working with stakeholders to complete and update the schedule and policy based on best practice research.

You'll administer the policy portal within Smartsheet and assist with other ongoing projects on the broader risk team, including Business Continuity, Enterprise Risk Management, Environmental, Sustainability, & Governance, and Third Party Risk Management.

About You

We're looking for a detail-oriented, creative, and get-things-done professional with 5+ years of experience in policy management, compliance program management, and/or internal/external audit. You'll have experience with GRC tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and presenting to executive-level leadership.

You'll be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, a strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset, and strong interpersonal relationship skills. You'll also have effective judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
