Compensation:

$22 - $24 hourly, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Drafting and preparing essential legal documents and correspondence related to client intake and various legal matters, ensuring compliance with established deadlines.
  • Reviewing case files to confirm the completeness of information and documentation, and liaising with court personnel and other relevant parties to gather necessary data.
  • Maintaining organized estate planning case files, including opening, updating, and closing files as required, while ensuring accurate data entry into various systems.
  • Coordinating estate planning meetings and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available for client signing.
  • Providing support to legal professionals by confirming receipt of required documentation and assisting in the management of outstanding items.
  • Compiling final estate planning portfolios, ensuring all documents are complete and compliant with legal standards.
  • Responding to client inquiries and providing information regarding case status and procedures, with guidance from supervising attorneys.
  • Managing front desk operations, including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a welcoming office environment.
Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include:

  • At least one year of relevant professional experience that equips the candidate with the necessary skills for this role.
  • No specific licenses or certifications are required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Basic understanding of: Legal office operations, relevant deadlines, and terminology.

Skills to: Efficiently perform tasks in accordance with established procedures, maintain confidentiality, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Working knowledge of: Business English, clerical procedures, and office technology.

Work Environment:

This position is based in an office setting with standard noise levels and temperature control.

Authority:

Non-attorney staff must operate under the direct supervision of an attorney, adhering to all professional conduct regulations.
