Join Our Team as a Barista/Server Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Barista/Server Support Specialist at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. As a key member of our Bistro team, you will provide exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable experience at our contemporary art museum.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch service to guests, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with the Bistro Manager to create engaging menu items and promotions.
  • Utilize a Point-of-Sale system to efficiently process orders and manage transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records, balancing the register and reporting any discrepancies to the Bistro Manager.
  • Assist with food preparation, restocking, and dishwashing as needed, adhering to museum safety guidelines and policies.
  • Stay up-to-date on museum events, exhibitions, and departments to provide informed assistance to guests.
  • Participate in additional events and activities, such as member parties and cultural programming events.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of prior serving experience.
  • High energy and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Current food handler's card and Class 12 mixologist permit (Class 13 server permit for those 18-20 years old).
  • Strong desire to grow with the BIMA Bistro team.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Benefits:
  • Hourly wage: $16.00 - $17.00.
