Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Bainbridge Island Health and Rehabilitation. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide primary care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of attending physicians or the Medical Director.
- Assist in modifying treatment regimens to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of residents.
- Confer with the Medical Director and attending physicians regarding resident evaluations and care plans.
- Initiate requests for consultation or referral, and respond to requests from residents, physicians, or nursing staff.
- Examine residents and their records to distinguish between normal and abnormal findings, and refer residents to physicians for evaluation or supervision as needed.
- Perform administrative duties, including completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
- Implement and maintain established policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, and environmental and infection control measures.
- Make written and oral reports to attending physicians, Medical Directors, or Administrators regarding resident care and status.
- Participate in the planning and evaluation of written policies and procedures governing the nursing service department.
- Participate in facility surveys and resolve complaints and grievances made by nursing department personnel.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
- Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
Works throughout the nursing service area, moving intermittently during working hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions and interacts with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies, and the general public under all conditions and circumstances.
