Position Summary

This role is tasked with the design, implementation, management, and support of our IT infrastructure, which encompasses networks, servers, storage solutions, and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and sustain the organization's network framework, including LAN, WAN, VPN, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Oversee and manage servers, virtual meeting platforms, storage solutions, and relevant hardware/software. Evaluate network performance, resolve issues, and enhance network reliability.
  • Establish and uphold security protocols to safeguard systems, networks, and data.
  • Conduct regular audits of systems and execute backups to ensure data integrity and readiness for disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot technical challenges and execute IT initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT personnel, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
  • Assess and propose new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance system and network efficiency.
  • Deliver technical support and training to network users.
  • Coordinate and resolve service requests submitted by users in a timely manner.
  • Monitor networks to ensure security and accessibility for designated users.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or in a similar capacity within a large-scale IT environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols and security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP/TLS) along with network management tools.
  • Practical experience with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux/Unix), virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V), and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong grasp of the ITIL framework, IT security best practices, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a knack for troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and system administration tasks is preferred but not required.
  • Project management experience or certification (PMP, ITIL) is preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background and credit check.
