We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in the Hematology and Oncology department at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As an Advanced Practice Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients with immunodeficiency and bone marrow transplant needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical assessments for infants, children, and young adults with acute and chronic health conditions.
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to manage a cohort of patients and develop individualized care plans.
- Order and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, and perform other therapeutic or corrective measures to treat illness and improve health status.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in focused quality or research projects, in conjunction with the IHC and BMT clinic, to advance patient care and outcomes.
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Arizona.
- Experience working with immunodeficiency and bone marrow transplant patients preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
