Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in the Hematology and Oncology department at Phoenix Children's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients and their families.
Job Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematological and oncological conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of their care.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient and family.
- Conduct thorough assessments, including physical examinations, medical histories, and laboratory results, to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Order and manage medications, including chemotherapy and other treatments, as prescribed by attending physicians.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop strategies for improving patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing their concerns and promoting health literacy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in pediatric hematology and oncology, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
- Current licensure as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Arizona.
- Experience working in pediatric hematology and oncology, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
