Eaton Aerospace is seeking a skilled Assembler - 2nd Shift Specialist to join our team in the Low Voltage Assembly department. This role is based at our Arden, NC location.
Key Responsibilities- Work from technical drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.
- Determine necessary parts and materials, and prepare requisitions to obtain them from stock.
- Prepare wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals. Route out, assemble, wire, adjust, fit, and modify parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assemblies.
- May require lifting, bending, ladder work, and other forms of movement.
- Check electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to quality standards and make necessary adjustments and alignments.
- Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Maintain records as required.
- Observe all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered. Active-duty military service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Mechanical and electrical background preferred.
- Able to lift 35 pounds - waist, shoulder, overhead.
- Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Proven history of safe work habits.
- Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
- Must be able to work overtime - weekdays and weekends.
