Job Summary:

The Quality Support Specialist II plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of products manufactured by IntriCon meets customer expectations and is delivered in a timely manner.

This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process, and final components/assemblies to ensure they conform to engineering technical data and blueprints or specifications.

The Quality Support Specialist II will also initiate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) when discrepancies are identified, audit processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and complete documentation of quality assurance to ensure quality records meet the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

Additionally, this role will review in-process inspection data to identify trends and notify engineers of significant shifts, review manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance with good documentation practices, and train production personnel on workmanship standards, inspection, and/or test techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process, and final components/assemblies to ensure they conform to engineering technical data and blueprints or specifications.
  • Initiate NCMR when discrepancies are identified.
  • Audit processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Complete documentation of quality assurance to ensure quality records meet QMS requirements.
  • Review in-process inspection data to identify trends and notify engineers of significant shifts.
  • Review manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance with good documentation practices.
  • Train production personnel on workmanship standards, inspection, and/or test techniques.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of inspection experience or two (2) years of experience with applicable product lines, preferred.
  • Experience using measuring devices and reading blueprints/drawings required.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operations of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
