About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Operations Technician to join our team at the BorgWarner Arden campus. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling parts, operating intermediate machines and equipment, and supporting Quality Engineering to ensure the quality and integrity of components and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up assembly equipment by adjusting tools and controls according to procedures and standards.
  • Qualify run for first piece approval.
  • Load/unload machines using proper handling equipment.
  • Operate equipment to highest production and quality standards.
  • Maintain all fluid levels of equipment and report malfunctions and safety issues to supervisor or maintenance as soon as possible.
  • Transport material as required using proper handling methods.
  • Keep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings.
  • Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures.
Requirements
  • Completion of high school or equivalent.
  • Proficient at Blueprint reading & interpretation.
  • Ability to inspect final assemblies and components.
  • Must have ability to read process sheets.
  • Working knowledge of measurement equipment selection and inspection techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of assembly processes and assembly line/tester setup.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Uses hand tools and production equipment appropriate to the work performed.
  • Ability to learn how to read basic blueprints.
  • Basic shop math required (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions).
  • Must have or be willing to acquire a forklift license for basic material movement as needed.
